Ask the Geeky Girls -
francesnojd who is Frances from Canada asks:
I’m teaching myself to spin with a drop spindle and I’m wondering what fibers you both have tried and enjoyed spinning the most (bfl, polworth, faulkland, Shetland, merino etc), if you have any tips for new spinners, and if you prefer top or bottom whorl, turkish, supported or another style spindle? I feel like I’m not sure I’m doing it right, did you feel that way in the beginning?
