Ask the Geeky Girls -
Lucy (lucygoose88) from Birmingham, UK asks:
My husband and I potentially have a huge change coming up in 2015 as he is applying for PhDs all over the country. If he doesn’t get funding at our local university, this could mean us having to move, which would be a massive deal. We currently live about 1.5 miles from where I grew up - we have my parents close by, family friends, and the Quaker community which I grew up in. I have a job that I enjoy and we have a house with a mortgage. I have a doctor whom I like and I trust, which is no small deal as I have both Aspergers and long-term depression.

As you may be picking up, I don’t deal at all well with change! Having faced a not-dissimilar change yourselves (albeit with an international dimension), was there anything that you did to help you embrace it positively (indeed, with grace)? Is there anything that you wish you had done? How did you face all of the uncertainties involved in such a big move, and the period in which you were waiting for news of places, funding etc.?

~If you have a question for us, post it in the Ask the Geeky Girls thread on Ravelry.
